Your book MAYNAS is of the greatest importance, due to the conflict originated by our neighbor to the North. Your book strengthens the rights which Peru has over those parts of its national organism which Ecuador wants to mutilate. And the more publicity is given to those rights not only aids Peru to recover the sympathy of her sister-countries on the Continent, but also to retain her respected position, which owing to. her pacifist inheritance, is due her in the fundamental reorganization of Nations and Institutions, which shall be the necessary consequence of the. future liquidation of the tremendous and revealing catastrophe in which world humanity is engaged.
